A stunning and rare antique gold necklace by Murrle Bennett circa 1910.
The necklace features 7 graduating cornflower blue sapphires, each within a millgrain setting. The genuine pearl dropper suspended from the largest lower sapphire is the original and also has a tiny sapphire just above it.
In excellent vintage condition, the necklace bears stamps for 9ct gold as well as makers marks on the pendant part to the side of the bar.
Measurements of original chain is 16″.
The pearl bar dropper has a length of approx 1.5″.
A sweet necklace, super collectable for those who love Murrle Bennett, Art Nouveau, Edwardian and Liberty pieces.
